Different Beats is a small tribute (and a TAFL approved fanlisting) to the wonder that is anime music! Anime music comes in all shapes and forms - popular japanese bands and singers contribute some of their singles as opening and ending themes, helping to spread their music not only in Japan, but all over the world. Seiyuu - voice actors - have shot to fame in Japan and beyond because of the wonderful singing contributions they make to the series where they voice their characters. Whether taken from an already existing album, or composed just for the animation it would be spearheading, anime music is one of the best ways to help set the tone and mood of the whole series, or to explain nuances of a character's development that can't be explained through words alone. Moreover, it gives people an opportunity to learn and appreciate the wonderful japanese music and compositions that come along with every favorite anime!
